Join us for a fully supported adventure back in time to the mid-19th Century. We'll be transported to a different era in America’s history, from the spark of the Civil War to its decisive battles at Antietam, Gettysburg, and Cedar Creek. We'll pedal the route taken and fought over by Confederate and Union forces during the Civil War: over and through the Shenandoah Valley campaigns of 1862 and 1864 as well as the Northern Virginia countryside. This trip includes plenty of time for tours, side trips, and exploration, as well as options to add on mileage.

DATES

Tour dates: May 20 - June 1

DETAILS

The tour starts and ends in Leesburg, VA. We'll explore the Washington & Old Dominion Bike Trail, the Shenandoah Valley, the C&O bike path, and the stone walls and covered bridges of Virginia's horse country. We'll see the site of Harper's Ferry & John Brown's Raid in West Virginia, the Antietam Battlefield in Maryland, and spend Memorial Day weekend in Gettysburg, PA.

Included in the cost of this fully-supported tour is a seasoned guide and a skilled mechanic, daily lunches and dinners, 3 breakfasts, hotel lodging, a van for luggage transport, snacks, nightly happy hours, cue sheets, and gpx files.
