Details

CycleOps' Fluid2 Trainer utilizes Power Band technology to allow for distinct resistance changes without reaching to a lever on the unit. The large flywheel with fluid resistance delivers a smooth, realistic road feel while sturdy legs provide a stable platform for pumping out hard, 600-watt efforts and out-of-the-saddle climbs. A favorite among serious racers, the Fluid2 is easily transportable and stands up to repeated punishment by the burliest of legs for years of impressive performance.

Comments:

I have used a number of stationary trainers that use friction. This is the first fluid resistance trainer I have used and boy what a difference! Want a better workout? Kick it up a gear, need a warm up or cool down? This is perfect. This is the only trainer I have used that lets you control the resistance just by your ride. I actually had a friction trainer before this and when I mounted the (temporary, rubber mounted) control lever on my top tube it slightly damaged the paint on my 1994 Bianchi "Reparto Corse" frame. This is the only trainer you'll need to buy, skip all the others and go for the gold.

    Comments:

I just started cycling this past summer and love it. However its not something I can really do in Michigan during the winter months so I bought this trainer. I'm really surprised how closely using this trainer feels like being on the road. My husband had it set up in a matter of minutes and I don't have anything to compare it to, but the noise it makes is not distracting. I'm definitely happy with this purchase [...]

    Probably the best Trainer around

    Comments:

I use this trainer mainly for indoor group rides. I previously owned a Performance fluid trainer, which was about 12 years old, when I replaced it with this unit. The difference between the two is not 12 years but light years. The larger diameter roller in combination with better fluid and power control really do make this trainer feel very road-like. At the same time it ramps up the power verrrry smoothly, and the noise level is very low, even when you "punch it". [$] is not cheap, but in this case it is true that "you get what you pay for".

    Comments:

Fluid 2 is my first trainer so i cannot compare to other, but one major thing that i have to say about it is that it is pretty close to road feel. This trainer is not that noisy and is really, really easy to setup.
